You can't win it if you're not in it....

Sailor and I have been working on the Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter contest this weekend. We're having a ball, even when the recipes aren't exactly prize winning material. Remember last year when my Westy boy went to NYC (thanks to your votes) to compete for a 25 grand scholarship? Well, it's time again to get your kids cracking on their most creative peanut butter sandwiches. Come up with an original recipe before October 22nd and enter for a chance to win. You never know, so give it a try! Click here to get the details, and while you're there check out the video and get a peek at my Westy boy.
But that's not the only contest worth crowing about right now. Look at this one for Smuckers. Share a recipe that's been in your family for at least two generations for a chance to win $20,000 for a family reunion. (How's about a family reunion in Hawaii?) Time to go digging for buried treasures in Grandma's recipe box! Click here for all the important info. Now, I'm not a coffee drinker, so I'm not going for this one. But you enter it! For my readers who love their morning cup of joe, write up your special morning memories for this Folger's Home for the Holiday's recipe contest. Five winners will each win a trip home for the holidays. Next Up: Cookie Bookie Week-the week when I share a cookie recipe and review a Halloween book every eerie day... stay tune and tell your amigos!

  1. I can not wait to see what Sailor comes up with! If I was entering I would make crusty french bread with peanut butter, nutella and bananas toasted like a panini!

  3. Thanks for passing the word along. Alex has an idea, but he is only 5. He will be 6 a few weeks after the deadline. Alyssa is still working on coming up with an idea. We'll see if she gets there before time is up? I am excited to see what Sailor comes up with. Is West not eligible to enter again? Or was his 15 minutes of fame more than enough for him? I forgot to tell you that we did finally find his push-up pops this summer and my kids told everyone that their cousin made the wrapper. They were so proud...now we just need to introduce them one of these days.

  4. Julie-We do need to get these kids together. I want to go to WI, since I'm convinced it's the land of endless fun, thanks to your good life. As for the Jif contest, I'd better read the rules re West. I can't remember so I've been helping Sailor instead. And yes-he had more than his deserved share of fame!
